SummaryNFL Media seeks a Segment Producer to contribute to live & taped shows that are distributed across all NFL platforms. This a jack-of-all trades hands on producer that will work on all aspects of studio & remote production including editorial, technical production and operations, show rundown & segment creation, development, and post-production.The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of creating engaging cross platform programming and understands cost-effective production workflows. Needs a deep understanding of the distribution process from conception to consumption, including the nuances of reaching audiences on television, digital, social platforms, AVODFAST and mobile devices. Most importantly, they will have expertise producing live news-driven content off events, engaging social content, unlocking talent's creativity, developing cross-platform brands, and creating an efficient production process.ResponsibilitiesProduce a wide range of content for various shows and digital platforms; produce segments, documentaries, and other pieces from start to finish for air; these segments are primarily produced live to airExtensive knowledge & strong desire to master all live multi-platform production technologies, workflows and equipment in video and audioAnalyze content performance, both in terms of consumption metrics and revenue, to drive insights that inform strategic production and programming decisionsCoordinate with sales on show content opportunities and other sales executionsWork closely with NFL Network talent that contributes on multi-platform showsCultivate and work alongside new and existing talent to grow their brand across platformsResponsible for generating and researching content ideasAdjust segment content to accommodate breaking news situationsCoordinates with the on-air staff to write accurate and informative content as it relates to the segmentOccasionally produces assigned sports news programs independently with regular guidance from the responsible Coordinating ProducerWork is reviewed by the responsible Coordinating Producer at regular intervals and milestonesUses a high level of sports knowledge and news judgment to determine the agenda, concepts, and content of the assigned segment within the showSupervise or takes part in individual segmentsTape Produce with EVS Operator for live studio and event productionsProduce interactive set content for live and live-to-tape productionsLead edit teams as a content manager supporting multiple productionsCreate Dynamic post-produced content for multi-platform delivery on tight deadlinesProduce and write both hard news and feature copy under deadlinesSupervise, train, and mentor associate producersChoreograph all segments in detailPreview video and sound of assigned segments.Explain edit instructions in detail on edit formCommunicate daily story development with senior producer and line producerBe in control room during airing of assigned segmentPitch story ideasTake part in planning and development of next day storiesRequired Qualifications4-6 years of progressively complex related studio or related production experienceExperience in production related to sporting eventsKnowledge of live television production dynamics and working knowledge of the equipment and technologies in the control roomAble to carry out a broad range of assignment that arrange from segment producing to live broadcasts with little or no preparation time in betweenKnowledge of football and sports historySupervisory experience with good leadership skillsGood writing and copy-editing skillsPreferred QualificationsCollege degree preferredTravel 0-5% (occasional)Salary Pay RangeThis job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location(s) specified.
