As a result, we continually strive to make Jennison a fulfilling and rewarding place to work for all employees.Our FunctionAs a key member in the Finance department, the Sr. Accountant will report to the Alternatives Analyst and Core Accounting Manager. The successful candidate would be a highly motivated individual and analytical thinker. These attributes allow them to work through complex problems in order to reach justifiable conclusions to support their team. Multitasking abilities, detail and results orientation are necessary skillsets. Additionally, being a charismatic leader and having the ability to get along with others on the team will allow the accountant to be a very effective contributor to the team as well as ensure that the cultural values of the firm are embodied.Your ImpactYour responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:Prepare support schedules, perform account reconciliations and post necessary journal entries for month end close processesPreparation of accounting entries associated with seed investmentsReview monthly NAV packages for Jennison's hedge fund and perform capital allocations independentlyPreparation for Supplemental GAAP schedules and quarter end deliverables for seed investments and the Jennison Management CompanyReview fiscal year-end financial statements related to seeded fundsPreparation of quarterly regulatory filing for hedge funds (Form PF)Point of contact for auditors relating to alternative investment fund audits and the Jennison Management CompanyProvide investment related information, identify and explain key variances and create commentary for both internal monthly reports and reports due to the parent companyAct as liaison with parent company and cross-function groups on a regular basis to ensure accuracy of financial data and research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner, troubleshoot inquiries, and communicate final results. This includes completing required reporting within deliverable timeframeResponsible for Ad Hoc requests and projects as they arise.Your Required SkillsYour required skills must include:BA in Accounting or Finance or relevant experience5+ years of relevant work experience. Individual salaries for this role may vary based on various factors including but not limited to, years of experience, range in corporate level, candidate skills, and geographic location.
