EvanstonSkokie, the southwest suburbs and DuPage County with services promoting education, economic stability, emotional wellness and empowerment.We are currently searching for a Full-Time Bilingual DV Social WorkerCounselor to join our Domestic ViolenceTeam!ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Performs comprehensive, in-depth assessments for a variety of program services. Performs intake as assigned.Provides a full range of case management, counseling, advocacy educational and related services.Provides group services as indicated by program pletes safety planning and linkages to supportive services.Identifies and utilizes agency and community resourcesAssesses and analyzes community conditions affecting clients to identify resource gaps and problems. May carry appointments to program and agency-wide committees, often in leadership roles. Meets agency expectation for quantity of direct plies with agency recordkeeping expectations.Works effectively with diverse staff and service population.Maximizes opportunities within specialtyservice areas to expand own knowledge and skills, and to experiment with new techniques and practice. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.QUALIFICATIONS:Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field from an accredited college or university, required.Two (2) years of post-graduate social workcounseling experience and at an intermediate skill level, preferred.Bilingual English Spanish, required.Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW)Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred. Must have a 40 hour Domestic Violence Certification, preferred. Requires mobility to work in the community with assigned caseload.Ability to maintain assigned office-based services.Demonstrated superior skills with therapeutic interventions with adults and children survivors of abuseDemonstrated competence in consultation, teaching, or writing.Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for sustained periods of time, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle and operate objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel and crouch.The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing and viewing a computer terminal.The employee may occasionally lift andor move up to 25 pounds.SALARY:The average starting salary for this position will fall in the range of 50,000 to 60,000 annually.
