Competitive Soccer Lead

Position SummaryBold's mission is to build world-class K-12 public schools that challenge and empower all students to excel in college and life. You will receive regular coaching and feedback, and will have opportunities to grow into a master teacher and transformative leader within the organization.Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Driving the development of Bold's soccer program, including instructional, club, and competitive team opportunities Developing a coaching strategy and model that sets a strong foundation for growth at Bold's flagship location in the Bronx and beyondCollaborating with Bold's talent team to build relationships with local community organizations and leagues, creating opportunities for students to compete alongside peers from top-performing schools and teams across the city Contributing to a school culture that inspires a love of athletics and a personal commitment to fitness and wellnessTeaching through a variety of instructional methods and activities that inspire intellectual curiosity and develop critical thinkingModeling Bold's core values and building a positive student and team culture across the schoolTraining with colleagues and school leaders, which includes regularly implementing feedback with grace and urgency in service of student achievement, a values-based school culture, and a positive, professional work environmentDeveloping strong relationships with families and students, including regular communication that creates high levels of investment in school culture, athletics, and academicsDemonstrating a mission-first mindset to ensure all decisions and actions are rooted in ensuring that all students excelSuccessful candidates should:Have experience coaching, developing, and leading soccer programs in a K-12 setting, with a proven track record of successHold exceptionally high standards for performance and an excellence reflex that constantly raises the barHave experience coaching and developing teams to high levels of performance Have an ability to translate data into actionable insights that drive outcomesDemonstrate a strong commitment to and alignment with the mission, beliefs, and values of BoldHold an unwavering belief in the potential that all students can learn paired with an unshakeable conviction to ensure all students will learnBe a person of high moral characterHave the ability to work within a fast-paced and dynamic team environment where responsibility for student success is shared and owned by everyoneHold a commitment to solutions-based problem solving and previous experience of suchHold a valid NYS teaching certification (preferred, but not required)Hold a Bachelor's degree with an outstanding record of achievement and leadershipStart DateThe start date for this position is flexible. CompensationBold Charter School offers highly competitive compensation, in the top 3% of comparable positions across New York City charter schools.
