The RoleFast-growing accounting consulting firm seeks an Experienced Senior Accountant for their location in New York City. This is a Hybrid remote position with three days in the office and two days remote. Core ResponsibilitiesAssist our clients with and oversee Staff Accountants with the following:SEC audit and review preparation.Monthly financial closings.Assistance with accounting procedures.Review of back office and accounting staff work.Assessment and improvement of financial processes and internal controls.Prepare and review financial statements for public and private sectors, including disclosures for audit, review, and compilation engagements.Education and QualificationsA Bachelor's degree with a focus in accounting. An MBA is preferred.A CPA license is preferred but not required.Essential FunctionsAssume responsibility for the efficiency of performance for engagements.Develop and maintain client relationships.Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.ExperienceA minimum of 4 years of public accounting experience.Knowledge of SEC accounting with a strong understanding of BCFs, derivatives, and equity valuation is preferred.Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and QuickBooksDemonstrated analytical proficiency in data research and interpretation.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesWorking knowledge of GAAP and Statutory Accounting PrinciplesPossess outstanding project management and analytical skills; must be able to prioritize.Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written.Meets deadlines, prioritize appropriately, copes well with change, and maintains composure under pressure.Self-directed and self-motivated.Highly organized and efficient.Strong communication skills, including working in a team environment, giving honest, direct feedback, and being a solid verbal and written communicator.BenefitsMedical Insurance.Dental Insurance.Vision Insurance.PTO (3-Weeks).Paid Holidays.
