Treatment NursePosition Summary:Treatment Nurse is responsible for patientresident skin care and other medical assessments, treatments and documentation, under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services (DON) andor attending physician(s). Assists in recommending modifications of treatment regimens to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of the patientQualifications: Minimum 2 years experience as a treatment nurseCurrent California LVN or RN licensePrevious nursing or healthcare experience preferredCPR and First Aid certifiedOutstanding communication (verbal and written) skillsAbility to remain calm and professional in all work-related situationsResponsibilities:Provides treatment and therapeutic services per physician ordersConsults with DON, Medical Director and other members of the Care Plan Team concerning assessment evaluations, assists in developing appropriate treatment plansExamines patientresidents and their medical recordscharts, recommending when to refer them to a physician for further evaluation or careAssesses skin conditions, identifying, photographing and documenting stages and any other problems upon admissionre-admission or any extended time away from the facilityPerforms weekly patient skin and other examinations as needed recording results, reporting as needed and securingapplying the corresponding treatment ordersEnsures that residents with decubitus ulcers receive appropriate prophylaxis and treatment, such as daily inspection, turning and activity, a well-planned diet, and maintenance of clean, dry bedPerforms administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc.Builds positive relationships with interdisciplinary team members working with kitchen staff for dietary changes, therapy on wound management, etc.Provides information to resident and family members on prevention techniques and other ways to maintain or improve general health and psychosocial status of residentProvides written andor oral reports and recommendations to attending physician, DON and other department leaders as appropriate and necessary.Orders medicationequipmenttreatment supplies, etc. to ensure care is provided timelyAudits and completes treatment sheets or other required charting documentation to ensure they are updated and accurateAttends meetings as assigned to discuss patients' and other facility businessTreats everyone at work in a kind, patient, supportive and encouraging mannerBenefits:Competitive payHealth Benefits - Medical, dental, and vision coverages with company paying a substantial portion of costs (voluntary supplemental plan options available)401(k) with discretionary company match annuallyCompany paid Basic Life and disability insurance (Buy up options available)Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick, Holiday)Employee Assistance programTuition Assistance and Profession Enhancement FundsBene-Hub employee sponsored discount programs and more....We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.*Benefits available to full-time employees.#hpcatered
