EAC Network, a leading not-for-profit social service agency dedicated to helping over 79,000 people through 100 impactful programs across Long Island and NYC, is looking for a dedicated Bilingual Case Manager (Domestic Violence) full time Position to join the Brooklyn Abusive Partner Intervention Program (APIP). Salary: $28.65Schedule: 9AM-5PM, Monday- FridayLocation: Brooklyn, NY Reports to: Program Supervisor What drives the core purpose of this job? The Case Manager (Domestic Violence) provides screening, treatment planning, monitoring, case management, court reporting and group facilitation of eligible DV cases. What are the key responsibilities? Act as liaison to the courts, provide case-finding and screening services for domestic violence cases and establish an in-person relationship with the relevant court plete treatment planning to address the employment skills and training needs, educational needs, housing needs, alcoholsubstance dependency, mental health needs, and physical health needs of clients and assist clients in achieving their treatment plan goals and completing their plea responsibilities. Conduct assessment and orientation sessions for participants referred to the program following the program curriculum.Schedule participants for sessions. Co-facilitate themed batterer intervention sessions utilizing control logs, assignments, and exercises. Maintain participant attendance.Distribute letters of attendance.8Attend trainingsmeetings as scheduled.Maintain case documentation available for review by supervision at any time, i.e. client records, including progress notes and all other relevant information to assist clients and to comply with program requirements.Follow up with all program referrals and confirm client attendance.Maintain a caseload of clients and monitor their participation through case management appointments, reviewing progress reports and conferencing cases. Prepare and present written and oral status reports to the criminal justice system in a timely manner regarding client's vestigate and arrange supportive services for clients.Provide crisis intervention and address emergencies related to housing, food, medical needs, and any concrete need as presented by client.Conduct drug testing on clients of the program as needed.Perform additional tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the programdepartment. What key knowledge, skills, and abilities are required to excel in this role? Associates degree in a helping profession or educational equivalent and experience working in intervention programs with criminal justice involved participants.Good communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to work cooperatively with treatment providers and criminal justice systems.Must be proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, and email andor database software necessary to perform work assignments.
