The Receptionist is responsible for handling a variety of routine administrative, clerical, and office support activities for one or more fast-paced programs. Responsibilities Greet program staff and visitors in a respectful, pleasant manner. Ensure visitors are attended to and directed to appropriate staff.Answer phones, directing calls as needed, and forwarding voicemails to the appropriate staff. Create and maintain a warm, welcoming ambiance in common areas, ensuring appearance and upkeep of the space. Facilitate conference room and shared space reservations.Provide administrative support to 230 W Monroe program departments. Be proactive in seeking out support opportunities through Manager. Update and maintain the site's Front Desk and back-office supplies, equipment and appearance.Coordinate and communicate with courier regarding changes to schedules and special requests.Process purchase requests under Agency P Card. Responsible for both adhering to and enforcing standards regarding request documentation.Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or equivalentTwo years of administrative experienceAbility to sit for long periods of time (up to 7 hours).Repetitive movement of arms and hands to operate computer, keyboard and mouse.Ability to operate equipment such as phone, computer keyboard, calculator and standard office equipment.Repetitive physical ability to stand up and assist clientele and vendors with doors.React with physical and mental alertness in emergency situations and assist in evacuation of building.
