Review production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities.Areas of FocusIndustrial Engineer develops manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems to promote efficient staff and facility utilization. Estimate production cost and effect of product design changes for management review, action, and control.Responsibilities•Responsible on the maintenance of part listItem master revision updates and develop standards•Perform time study to determine manufacturing process, staff requirements and production standards•Audit work standards (time and method) for variance making corrective recommendations as necessary•Review accuracy of Bills of Material and item master data in ERP system•Analyze work methods, manufacturing processes and non-productive materials•Recommend changes that will reduce operational costs and recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel, material, and utilities•Develop budget work standards, machine capacity tables, manning tables, manpower requirements, and non-productive material usage standards for new model programs, etc., and revisions in production schedules•Responsible for reviewing, developing and monitoring process workflows, focusing online balancing for all production lines, with the objective to improve labor efficiencies, reduce scrap and improve product quality•Lead, manage, monitor projects involving new part number and revisions set-up for all part types•Follows quality system procedures•Other Responsibilities will be assigned, occasional overtime may be required, consistent and regular attendance required and travel to other Trojan facilities locallyBasic Qualifications•Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering•Minimum 3 years in timemotion studies and setting job rates in a manufacturing plant•Lean (Preferred)•Detailed Oriented•Analytical skills•Good problem-solving skills•Basic knowledge of Microsoft Applications, especially Word, Excel and Visio•Good written and verbal communication skillsPreferred Qualifications•Knowledge in ERP system, Plex•Bilingual Spanish•Battery IndustrySalary Range: $90,000-$95,000Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and locationif you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!
