EMARKETER is a division of Axel Springer S.E.The Role and Team:As a Senior Analyst, you will own our Payments coverage and contribute to our Financial Services research more broadly. This is a high-profile role offering the opportunity to develop a significant market presence. You will conduct and present research reports, analyze data, and monitor the evolving payments ecosystem, including innovations, key players, and consumer habits. You'll be in the know on payments as an integral part of the financial services industry, creating a reputation as a trusted, data-driven expert and a go-to resource both internally and externally. You will have an understanding of how customers pay and engage with the point of sale, including, but not limited to, traditional and emerging purchase and money transfer methods, point-of-sale technology, embedded finance, digital wallets and emerging payment trends. This role is ideally suited for someone with drive and the knowledge to put a stake in the ground on future predictions, trendlines, and disruptors. The role will report directly to the Principal Analyst, Banking, under Financial Services and have no direct reports.This is a hybrid role working from our New York City HQ at One Liberty Plaza two times a week.The ideal candidate is:A specialist who understands the landscape and dynamics of the payments industry, and who is knowledgeable about the broader financial services market.A structured thinker who possesses exceptional writing and data analysis skills.A curious researcher who is adept at data storytelling; this person can look at many data points and find the key insights across data sets.A highly effective communicator who is skilled at concise, clearly organized report writing.A networker who has a strong LinkedIn presence and enjoys building connections with industry leaders and on social media.A team player who is committed to collaborating across the organization.A client-focused analyst, with the drive and skills to develop new products to meet pressing client needsKey Responsibilities:Create forward-looking original insights to guide client decision-making on trends, disruptions, and challenges.Deliver tightly structured, insightful, and actionable reports and presentations tailored to the key needs of our audience.Ensure all deliverables include sharp data analytics, meet our high quality standards, publish on schedule, and provide actionable insights that help clients get their jobs done.Collaborate with researchers, forecasters, editors, and cross-functional teams on client-centric content.Engage proactively with peers through social media like LinkedIn, at major conferences, and in the media.Represent EMARKETER at conferences, webinars, and in media as an industry thought leader.Join sales calls on an ad hoc basis to talk to your research.Deliver on sponsored and paid presentations, webinars, and podcastsStay on top of changing patterns in your industry.Desired skills and experience:Background in a role focused on writing and analysis related to the payments industryPublic speaking experience with client presentations, industry events, media appearances, andor webinarsExpertise in creating and delivering memorable, story-driven presentationsAbility to multitask and prioritize as assignments shift in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentExceptional writing, charting, data comparison, and analysis skillsStrong Excel and PowerPoint skillsApplicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future.Salary & BenefitsBase salary: $100,000-$120,000 (dependent on skills, experience, and competencies)Unlimited PTO, 10 paid holidays, and 16 weeks of parental leaveComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plansMatched and vested 401k planAccess to resources for financial planning guidance, family planning services, mental health reachout and Employee Assistance Programs (EAP)Additional benefits include commuter benefits, phone reimbursement, gym membership discounts, and moreAbout EMARKETER:EMARKETER is the world's leading research company focused on digital transformation.
