Financial Analyst/Accountant

Job DescriptionHealth Advocates Network is currently seeking a Financial AnalystAccountant to work at a facility in New York, New York. These are registry positions with our company.Pay Rate: $27 hour*W2Shift details: 9am-5pm 35 hrs per weekDuties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist in weekly reconciliation of Title IV funds, refunding, and FWS payroll. Support the department in executing and managing weekly disbursement drawdowns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant guidelines. Coordinate funding and update CUNYfirst for scholarships and grants. Execute and analyze queries related to financial aid and student account processes. Communicate with college staff via email, phone, or Microsoft Teams. Update reference documentation for staff and review materials for colleges. Address ACH payment rejections or corrections and update CUNYfirst accounts. Process undelivered refunds and returned checks. Assist with notifications of outstanding checks and stop payment processes. Support federal work-study activities, coordinating with colleges and university staff across CUNYfirst modules. Assist with Form 1098-T Tuition Statement activities and related college inquiries. Troubleshoot student and college financial aid inquiries. Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree.Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with CUNYfirst (PeopleSoft) or similar ERP systems is preferred. Proficient with the latest software, including Microsoft Office applications. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment. Experience in financial aid, bursar, or administrative operations.
