Junior Accountant

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an experienced Junior Accountant for a nonprofit advocacy group aiming to advance democratic values for their community within the US and worldwide based in New York, NY! This is a wonderful full-time, hybrid, temporary opportunity with a dedicated, mission-driven team! RESPONSIBILITIES Daily download of gift batch information from Raiser's Edge (RE) into an Excel file. Upload the gift information into NetSuite as a journal entry. Once the journal entries are uploaded they will need to be reviewed and updated to conform to the proper accounting. Prepare gift adjustments entries in NetSuite based on information provided by the Gift Processing Team. Work with Senior Accountant on troubleshooting journal entries that impact the bank reconciliations. QUALIFICATIONS 2 to 3 years of related experience (i.e. accounting for contributions to a nonprofit organization) Computer skills required: MS Excel, MS Word, Power Point, and Outlook. Knowledge of accounting software with a preference for Oracle NetSuite. Knowledge of customer relationship management software with a preference for Raiser's Edge. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS In addition to working for an organization with a phenomenal mission and positive team-oriented work environment, the hourly pay rate for this role is $32-35hour (DOE).
