Our office is in a Class A building near restaurants, retail stores, metro access, and multiple bus lines. With a team of approximately 12 professionals, we operate in a non-corporate, collaborative environment that encourages growth and learning. Position Overview We are seeking a BookkeeperAccountant to join our team. Our accounting department maintains accurate financial records and works closely with a CPA, ensuring a smooth transition for the new hire. This position offers significant growth opportunities, with the potential to expand beyond traditional bookkeeping duties based on the candidate's initiative and skills. Key Responsibilities Manage monthly draws, project budgets, and TIA trackingHandle payment submissions to landlordsReconcile monthly bank statementsProcess company expense reportsOversee payroll and Simple IRA contributionsGenerate and manage invoices through QuickBooks (including AIA G702 & G703 construction payment applications)Issue checks, ACH payments, and Positive Pay transactionsPrepare and analyze P&L and cash flow reportsHandle certificate of insurance requests and filingCoordinate preparation for insurance auditsManage collections (including phone follow-ups)Issue Procore change ordersPrepare tax documents for CPA submissionSet up and manage project timesheets in QuickBooksMaintain general ledger entriesCollect and manage vendor payment documents (ACH instructions, W-9s, etc.)Oversee new hire paperwork and record notes for employee reviewsPrepare lien waivers and maintain current business licensesProvide IT coordination, including support for company-issued devicesRequirementsExpertProficient in QuickBooks Desktop EnterpriseStrong understanding of accounting principlesExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to manage multiple projects with minimal supervisionStrong written and verbal communication skillsSelf-motivated and able to work in a collaborative team environmentHigh attention to detail and accuracyComfortable working with both office and field staffCreative problem-solving skills beyond the accounting departmentNotary certification or willingness to obtain oneSoftware Proficiency ProcoreQuickBooks IntuitIntellix (Capital One)ExpensifyAIA DocumentsMicrosoft ExcelDocuSignWork Schedule Typical office hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PMLimited overtime required.
