We have assembled a world-class team with a passion for renewable energy innovation and a commitment to developing renewable projects throughout the US.Job Purpose This position will work as part of the fast-paced accounting team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for a variety of accounting responsibilities including but not limited to bank reconciliations, assisting in preparation of project monthly financials, balance sheet analysis, and the month-end close process. This person will be available to work on ad hoc requests and assist the accounting team with various projects and tasks. This person will liaison with internal stakeholders on a regular basis.Responsibilities Responsible for all accounting operations for a portfolio of renewable energy projects.Conduct balance sheet account analysis and reconciliations.Liaise routinely with operations, finance, tax and treasury personnel on a variety of job-related topics including contract agreements and debt service.Assist in the preparation of the project monthly financial reporting package including analysis to support the understanding of the monthly financial statementsWork with external auditors and prepare necessary audit work papers and supporting schedulesCalculate, record and monitor revenues in accordance with contractual obligations related to energy production for each facilityMaintain the fixed asset sub-ledger for the portfolio of operating assets Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting2 Years of accounting experience Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principlesThorough understanding of internal accounting controlsFamiliarity with Excel and Office Suite DesiredPreferred Qualifications: Experience with Sage X3 and Blackline preferredExperience in energy industry preferredExperience with Multi-Site OrganizationDesire to obtain advanced degree and or Professional Certification Characteristics Necessary for Success A collaborative style and a can-do attitudeComfortable with fast paced, rapidly changing environmentAbility to make informed decisions quicklyPassionate and enthusiastic about alternative energyResponsible, dependable and possess an exceptional work ethicDriven individual who can work in a hybrid environment Other: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
