Embark on a journey with us to maximize global impact, motivated by the idea that our products will change the lives of millions, along with the people you love.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to join our Finance team as a Staff Accountant. This role will manage the Accounts Payable process as well as perform the related accounting duties, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with financial policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will ensure timely processing of invoices and payments while also contributing to general ledger maintenance, month-end close processes, and financial reporting.Key Responsibilities:Review, verify, and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.Manage vendor relationships, including responding to inquiries and resolving discrepancies.Reconcile vendor statements and research any discrepancies.Perform account reconciliations and prepare necessary journal entries in conjunction with the month-end close process for accounts payable, credit card, and other accruals accounts Oversee and manage the expense reimbursement system, including reviewing and approving employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies, and addressing user inquiries or issues.Process payments via checks, ACH, and wire transfers.Maintain accounts payable records and documentation in accordance with company policy.Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies for payables.Assist with 1099 preparation and year-end reporting.Support audits by providing documentation and explanations as required.Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency in both AP and accounting workflows.QualificationsBaseline skillsexperiencesattributes:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.2-5 years of experience in accounts payable andor general accounting roles.Proficiency in Microsoft ExcelStrong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Ideally, you also have these skillsexperiencesattributes (but it's ok if you don't!):Experience working in Netsuite, Airbase, andor SAP Concur LocationAt Butterfly we offer a hybrid work environment. Compensation Our estimated salary for this role is between $85,000 - $90,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
