Corporate Deal Data Specialist

The Corporate Deal Data Specialist is responsible for the review of term sheets and deal information, data entry into the deal data tracking database and generating routine analytical reports. Open to New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Palo Alto, Washington DC, Boston, Colorado, Seattle, San Diego locations.What you'll do:Create and maintain a system for cataloguing and tracking Companies practice group deals with both transactional and external dataLeverage existing workflows for tracking of deal status from open to closeGather deal data from file management system, secretariespractice team assistants and attorneys, where necessaryReview and interpret complex term sheets to extract relevant dataInteract with practitioners as needed for clarity on transactional detailsInput deal data into internal deal tracking softwareDraft regular progress reports to Practice Engagement Manager and Firm LeadershipReview data on a monthly basis for inconsistencies and gaps to be remediatedServe as internal expert on data and database systems, assisting peers with locating, interpreting and analyzing data in support of business needsWhat you'll bring:Required:2+ years of direct-related experience as a paralegal or attorney working on Private Equity and Venture Financing transactions, specifically reviewing, and interpreting corporate term sheets and other corporate deal documents. Alternatively, 2+ years of direct-related experience working in a law firm knowledge management or data analysis position providing data analysis and management for venture financings or other corporate transactionsBachelor's DegreePreferred:Prior law firm or professional legal environment experienceJDCompetencies: Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsStrong attention to detailGood presenceAbility to work well with othersStrong organizational skills with ability to juggle several tasks at onceSelf-motivatedReliable and cooperative mannerAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines
