DescriptionLocation: Los Angeles, CAECC is seeking candidates for a Quality Control Supervisor position working on-site in Los Angeles, CA for the LA fires debris removal project. Qualified local candidates and candidates with significant fires debris removal project experience are encouraged to apply. This position is full time and provides a full benefits package. This position requires working extended days (including Saturday and Sunday) and extended hours, as needed by the project. Additional compensation will be provided. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions. Project start date is immediate and the position is expected to last approximately 12 months. In this position you will:Take appropriate action to ensure that work is performed in accordance with the ECC Quality Control Program, the design, the contract specifications, pertinent building codes & practices as well as national and local standardsEnsure implementation of the Three-Phase Control Process in accordance with Company standards and contract requirementsWork to actively promote and support the safety program with subcontractors and project team members on a daily basisEnsure that required testing is conducted, evaluate test results, ensure results meet specifications, and document resultsInspect and document the receipt of all materials to ensure compliance with contract documentsPrepare andor review of design and material submittalsComplete quality related documentation (field reports, logs, and records) in a timely and accurate mannerInvestigate and recommend solutions to resolve environmental problems related to qualityEnsure implementation, documentation and close-out of corrective actionsInitiate stop work or re-work in coordination with the project team in circumstances with respect to work methodologies nonconformanceIn addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this position.Requirements The ability to communicate in written and oral formats with diplomacy and tactAn aptitude for exercising independent thinking and reasoningSkilled in setting up quality control testing equipmentDemonstrated knowledge of compliance in government environmental projectsProven knowledge in reading and comprehending environmental project plans and related technical documentsSuccessful track record in effectively engaging with subcontractorsCompetent in using Microsoft Office products, email systems, and WindowsMust possess a current Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractor's certificate or the ability to obtain one within 60 days.One (1) year of combined experience as a Superintendent, QC Supervisor, Project Manager, or Project Engineer on environmental projects.Travel: Must be able and willing to work on-site at project location Education: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or Building Science. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.Preferred Qualifications Prior work experience on a fire debris removal project or similar disaster debris removal projectTwo (2) years or more of combined experience as a Superintendent, QC Supervisor, Project Manager, or Project Engineer on environmental projects.Knowledge of USACE Resident Management System (RMS)OSHA 30 Hour Construction CertificationFirst Aid and CPR CertificationPrior experience with Federal Government DoD environmental projectsECC targeted salary range for US locations average is $80,000 to $110,000 annually.
