Paralegal

We are seeking an experienced paralegal with experience working in a corporate environment to join our dynamic legal team. Familiarity with personal injury andor insurance defense litigation is a plus. The qualified candidate will assist with statutory and regulatory research, drafting correspondence, assisting with legal compliance, and managing contracts. The qualified candidate must be able to work autonomously with light direction. This position will be based out of our Rosemont, IL office but can work primarily remotely with visits to the office a few times per month.Position Responsibilities:Conducts statutory and regulatory researchAssists with regulatory compliance projects and calendar managementDrafts and updates legal forms and documentsHandles business registration and other filings, and requests for certified records from government entitiesResponsible for contract management and Docusign account managementManages complaint log and response deadlines, researches, and prepares first draft of complaint responsesMaintains and organizes the legal and regulatory compliance department files (contracts, research files, etc.)Assists with trademark monitoring, management, and policingManages registered agent relationship and serves as primary liaison with said RAsAssists with privacy policy complianceDrafts legal notices, correspondence, memos, and other documents as necessaryPrepares responsive documents to discovery requests, subpoenas (including supporting Servicing Attorney), exam and audit requests, requests for production and supporting affidavits, and other document production obligations (including managing de-identification andor redaction of records)Assists with miscellaneous duties including proofreading, and compiling data Handles special projects as assignedRequired Skills and Experience:3-5 years of relevant experience with an in-house law department or with a law firm requiredFamiliarity with personal injury andor insurance defense litigation a plusParalegal certification a plus B.A. or Associates Degree a plus Ability to review and assess contracts, complaints, and other legal documentsGeneral knowledge of relevant state and federal law of civil procedure and privacy lawAbility to work independently and collaborativelyExcellent clientcustomer interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detail Ability to learn and follow existing and new processes and proceduresExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong organizational skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines in fast-paced environment where time management and flexibility is keyBenefits:Libra Solutions offers competitive compensation, and benefits that includes medical, dental, vision and life insurance plans, plus 401(k) with company match, flexible spending accounts and paid time off.About UsWhen life gets hard, we make it easier!
