Job DescriptionJob Title: Business AnalystJob Location:Must have the ability to work hybrid in Brooklyn, NYJob Summary:Genesis Consulting has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst to support full life cycle application development on various platforms for a state agency to enhance the quality of life for citizens. Business Analysts will be supporting systems that provide temporary assistance to eligible citizens. The hardware and software platforms include but are not limited to IBM, UNISYS mainframe, Microsoft Windows client servers, and SUNUNIX. This team will enhance and maintain applications utilized throughout the agency enabling the delivery of timely services. Duties and Responsibilities:State agency has an increased demand for full lifecycle application development across multiple computer platforms. This includes various client eligibility and recertification systems, employment and work engagement services, claims systems, and other critical programs. These applications require periodic refinements and enhancements to ensure optimal performance and functionality. Duties and responsibilities include but may not be limited to: Co-ordinate Testing of applicationDevelop test cases and acceptance criteria.Coordinate QA testing and acceptance between QA staff, developers, and stakeholders.Implement information technology quality assurance standards.Develop business and technical requirementsIdentify user stories and translate them into technical requirements as required.Develop user stories and break down requirements into deliverable functionality.Review the requirements with the stakeholders for their approval.Provide Management Reporting and Information disseminationAnalyze and document current systems and processes as currently implemented.Make recommendations for improvements based on client feedback.Work directly with business stakeholders, clients, designers, developers, and engineers to coordinate the building of applications to spec and on time. RequirementsMinimum QualificationsExperience:•Minimum 4 years' experience gathering business requirements, writing user stories, and conducting user acceptance testing.•Minimum 4 years' experience with tools such as Jira, Balsamiq, & MS Visio.•Minimum 4 years' experience overseeing deliverables for large projects.•Minimum 4 years' experience designing data models and application prototypes.Minimum Education:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or another related field.Required Certifications:•None Required.Other:•All candidates must be eligible to work in the United States•Candidates must provide 2 accessible references who can speak to experience from the past 24 months.•Candidates must meet all qualifications to be considered.
