Assists the CM and ACM in supervising Clerical Associates II and III As such, under the direction of the Coordinating Manager andor Assistant Coordinating Manager, with latitude for independent judgment, performs the following duties-these responsibilities include, but are not limited to:AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIESAmbulatory CareSUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvide efficient and courteous services when scheduling patient's appointments according to Department's Standard Work. Assures appointment scheduling is completed in accordance with the criteria of the practice(s).Answers incoming telephone calls in a professional and timely manner (by the third ring)Registers patients in a courteous and professional manner via the Epic Systems according to the Department's Standard WorkEnsures accurate patient insurance information is entered in EPIC and verified according to Standard Work protocol.Cancels and reschedules patient's appointments upon request.Distributes, educates and informs patients of HIPPA Privacy Notice, Patient Rights, Advance Directives and General Consent Forms-among others as required by Department's Standard Work. Ensures form is accurately completed, signed by patient, and witnessacknowledged with date and time. Initiates and completes Medicare Questionnaire Forms as necessaryScans consents and other required patient documentation into the Epic SystemInitiatesFollows DownTime Registration Policy and Procedures when warrantedPrepares and mails Patient Missed Appointment Letters within the timeframe set by the Department's Missed Appointment PolicyResponsible to assure follow up is documented into the patient's chart in the Epic System. Make reminder calls to the patient 24 to 48 hours in advance of the patient's appointment time. Informs the patient of what documentsitems to bring to the appointment and facility directions (if necessary)Attends meetings as assignedscheduled Opens service tickets as needed for all issues related to their work spaceresponsibilitiesAssistsCovers in other areas as assignedCommunicates work-related issuesproblems to direct Supervisor for appropriate follow upActively participates in Customer Service and Process Improvement InitiativesPerforms other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications1. A high school diploma or its educational equivalent; and2.
