Job Title: Projects + Initiatives CoordinatorDepartment: Wechsler Center For Modern AgingReports to: Susan Lechter, Center DirectorFLSA Status: Non-ExemptDate: July 10, 2024Job Overview:The mission of the Wechsler Center for Modern Aging is to reimagine older adulthood in a Jewish communal setting as a time of expansive possibility, purpose, community engagement, mutual support, and blessing. We envision an engaged and connected cohort of older adults who find deep meaning in community, who are treasured by the broader Jewish community for their wisdom, and who will develop the tools and attitudes to successfully transition through life as they age. The Projects + Initiatives Coordinator nurtures the mission and vision of the Wechsler Center and is a key player in providing support services for the 60+ community. The Projects + Initiatives Coordinator has oversight of the Caring Initiatives, collaborative responsibilities with intergenerational and volunteer programming, and manages social work related services. The Coordinator also provides departmental support for work across the Center and collaborates with the Wechsler team.Responsibilities and Duties:Planning, implementation and follow-up of Biannual Caring CallsManaging ongoing Call ProgramCollaborative support for Intergeneration English Overseas programGeneral program and administrative supportRegular review of research studies in healthy agingProgram and group facilitationSocial work support and liaison with community and social service organizationsQualifications:MSW Strongly PreferredPassion for the 60+ communityStrong attention to detail and excellent problem solving skillsStrong organizational skills and ability to manage many projects at one timeExcellent customer service and interpersonal skillsExperience with program managementAbility to work independently as well as collaborativelyEasily approachableEagerness to support othersTeam Player Strong written and verbal communication skillsSalary Range: $55,000- $60,000
