Materials Supply Representative

Job Description :Pay Rate : 18$ to 22$ Per HourShift Hours : Overnight 11pm-7am1. Receivesaccepts all deliveries entering the premises at the receiving dock2. Enters purchase order deliveries into the Material Management computer system3. Delivers materials to appropriate location and obtains a signature for all packages and goods4. Accepts delivery of gas cylinders (e.g. oxygen tanks) and delivers them to clinicsNursing units as needed5. Handles stat requests for urgent delivery to end users in a timely manner.6. Performs supply distribution activities including the storing, inventorying, delivering and documenting of supplies7. Replenishes supplies in clinicsNursing unit supply rooms when they arrive from the warehouse and maintains correct inventory levels.8. Delivers and stores all merchandise to the appropriate storage area. Rotates product using, FIFO (First In, First Out) to store items neatly in storage area.9. Inspects, removes, and replaces expired products found on clinicsNursing units10. Accurately performs physical inventory counts from clinicsNursing unit storage areas andor exchange carts.11. Accurately picks supplies from the Store Room and prepares them for transport to the clinicsNursing units. (ONLY AT MSBI - PETRIE)12. Uses handheldcomputer to order supplies needed for replenishment of clinicsNursing units the following day13. Uses hand-heldcomputer to maintain par levels of medicalsurgical supplies for Nursing units.14. Restocks storeroom shelves as requested. (ONLY AT MSBI - PETRIE)15. Accurately fills requisitions with correct quantities and products requested16. Documents all transactions according to department policy and procedure.17. Responsible for documentation of all inventorydelivery data.18. Removes empty corrugated boxes, pallets, and tote boxes as needed19. Transport small equipment, furnishing and supplies between department and office locations.20. Supplies clean linens to all clinical areas and picks up soiled linens to send out for cleaning (ONLY AT MSDUS - PACC)21. Collects blood specimens from all clinics and delivers them to the Pathology lab (ONLY AT MSDUS - PACC)22. Delivers lab reports from Pathology to all the clinics (ONLY AT MSDUS - PACC) 23. Picks up dirty instruments from all clinics and delivers them to Central Sterile work room and delivers sterilized instruments from CSPD back to the clinics (ONLY AT MSDUS - PACC)24. Distributes mail to each respective Department on each floor. (ONLY AT MSDUS - PACC)25. Responsible for maintenance and sanitation of receiving and storage areas, including equipment.26. Maybe required to perform other duties as assigned.Skills:To ensure that all serviced areas are supplied with materials, medical - surgical goods, gas tanks, linens, mail and other support services as needed to allow the businessclinical units to function in the most efficient manner responsible for signingaccepting, receiving and delivery of shipments from vendors. Responsible for the appropriate and accurate documentation of data for accounting and other departmental purposes. Is cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objectives and policies of the Department and the Hospital Center. Must be able to lift and handle heavy packages
