Details Client NameThe Blavatnik Family - Chelsea Medical Center at Mount Sinai Job TypeTravel OfferingNursing ProfessionRN SpecialtyOncology Job ID30485813 Job TitleRN - Oncology - Contract - MSBI Weekly Pay$2374.0 Shift Details ShiftDay - 7x5 - 08AM Scheduled Hours35 Job Order Details Start Date03032025 End Date06072025 Duration14 Week(s) Job Description Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Oncology Job Duration: 14 weeks Shift: 5 days a week, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, no weekends or holidays Guaranteed Hours: 37.50 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of medical oncology nursing experience required License: Current State Registered Nurse License Certifications: Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Active Chemotherapy-Biotherapy Provider Card, BCLS, ACLS required Must-Have: Experience with malignant heme (e.g., BMT, leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma) Job Description: - Perform chemotherapy, therapeutic treatments, and blood transfusions, along with phlebotomy procedures.- Provide and coordinate the care of patientsfamilies and significant others in the ambulatory care setting, addressing actual or potential health problems.- Conduct patient, family, and significant other education, including health maintenance strategies.- Be a member of a designated healthcare team, collaborating and guiding team members in planning patient care and achieving goals.- Manage unit operations including patient flow, assignments, ordering, and preparing medical records.- Triage sick and walk-in patients.- Handle telephone communication, telephone triage, and communicate test results in collaboration with providers, including appropriate follow-up.- Assist with procedures and administer oral, IM, IV, SQ, and inhaled medications.- Administer blood and blood products, specific to specialty areas.- Perform treatments such as chemotherapy administration, conscious sedation, and other procedures specific to specialty practices.- Access and maintain central linesports for blood drawing and medication administration.- Provide and initiate respiratory interventions according to standards.- Coordinate, delegate, and provide all other patient care activities.- Initiate CPR when necessary.- Coordinate inpatient admissions and ER referrals.- Identify familypatient learning needs, including level of comprehension.- Inform about treatments, tests, preps, and OR procedures.- Instruct on home and self-care.- Evaluate client outcomes through return demonstration andor verbalization of understanding.- Maintain an environment conducive to meeting patient care needs and facilitating patient flow.- Promote and ensure patient safety in accordance with state and federal guidelines.- Practice and monitor infection control, maintaining a clean, quiet, organized patient care environment.- Demonstrate a professional, courteous, and respectful attitude in dealing with patients, families, and significant others.- Perform other duties as assigned or necessary.
