General Manager Position

The General Manager will oversee Playa Bowls East Orange including in store shifts and administrative work (this can be accomplished either while on shift or outside of regular shift hours). While on shift, the General Manager will oversee that team members are correctly prepping fruit, blending frozen fruit bases; making smoothies; making juices; topping smoothie bowls, taking customer orders, cleaning work stations, and executing effective customer service.OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIESQuality Control - product consistency and freshnessProduct Presentation - Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and presentation of food and drinks (Instagram worthy products)Inventory - placing orders for food and dry goods; verifying deliveries are correct in quantity and quality; maintaining food and equipment inventory numbersCustomer Service - investigate and resolve customer complaints Scheduling - staffing appropriate number of hours to meet labor percentage goalsIn Store and Admin Hours - work a weekly minimum of 35 shift hours in total across both locations, work 5-10 administrative hours weekly (can also be done while on shift if time allows) Training - organize and direct employee training programsStore Procedures - adhere to company directed openingclosing procedures, review work procedures and operational problems to determine ways to improve service, performance, andor safety Cash Management - ensure cash tills are balanced, make bank deposits, ensure cash tips are distributed in a timely mannerMaintenance - assist with scheduling any equipment and minor maintenancerepairsHuman Resources - hiring, employee evaluations, and resolving any personnel issues Marketing Initiatives - execute corporate run marketing tactics, community outreach to local businessespartnerships REQUIREMENTS:2+ years Restaurant Managerial Experience OPEN availability Valid driver's licenseKnowledge of supply chainCommunication and Active Listening skillsCritical Thinking skills Ability to work with employeesco-workers of all agesAttending Mandatory weekly admin meetings (in person or virtual)Working smartphoneBENEFITS:5 free work shirts Early access to seasonal apparel drops 120 Hours of Paid Time offMeal Plan Discounts: 30% off shift, 50% on shiftHealth insurance plans Payment of successful Serv Safe certificate
