The Administrative Assistant will provide clerical support for the FCA field office to accomplish the FCA mission and vision and reflect the FCA Core Values in the ongoing work of that office.MINISTERIAL DUTIESThese responsibilities are critical to the FCA mission and this position plays a vital role in our ministry. FCA expects all functions and responsibilities outlined below to be carried out with a heart surrendered to serving God as a form of worship.Agree with, and abide by, FCA's Christian Community Statement.Follow a spiritual rhythm including daily prayer and Bible study to seek the Lord's will for FCA.Lead, conduct and provide spiritual leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship and living by example so they are equipped to serve others.Connect to and participate in a local church through worship and weekly involvement.Conduct yourself in a manner that affirms biblical standards of conduct in accordance with FCA's Christian beliefs (see FCA's Christian Community Statement) at all times.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for appointmentsmeetings with staff, ministry partners, vendors, etc.Handles travel arrangements for assigned staff.Receives and screens telephone calls and emails for area office.Retrieves, opens, and distributes office mail.Plans, organizes, and completes assigned work in a timely manner.Manages development of resources and meets deadlines of assigned projects.Coordinates donor ministry events, banquets, staff meetings, etc.The Administrative Assistant must work well with internal processes and be detail oriented, highly organized, and efficient. Familiarity with Outlook, Word, Excel, Canva, PowerPoint, ProPresenter andor similar programsapps and internet technology in general is a necessity. Must be willing to train with FCA's various systems and quickly grasp how they work and who to contact should they have questions or issues. This position will be localized in the San Fernando Valley, but there is no official office building at this time, so much of the work will be able to be done from home or wherever the Administrative Assistant is able to find internet access. Experience working or living in the Valley is a big help for this position.The Administrative Assistant should exhibit the following:- Coachibility- Faithfulness- High organizational skills- Responsiveness- A commitment to timelinessThe Administrative Assistant will be expected to train with the Support Center in Kansas City, MO, as well as the Valley Metro Director. They will be expected to work well with him and any current or future Directors, other FCA staff, and volunteers. The Administrative Assistant should be able to catch the vision and mission of FCA and be excitedpassionate about it. They should also be able to communicate clearly on paperonline.The Administrative Assistant will be expected to assist the other FCA staff members lead through Engaging, Equipping, and Empowering those FCA serves.
