JPNDC supports educators in providing high-quality early education and care designed to prepare children for success in school and life. Additional benefits include employer-paid life & disability insurance, a vested 403b retirement plan, and much more!We also offer CEU credit or comparable training to support professional development in areas such as DEI, economic and workforce development, early childhood education, and affordable housing and real estate finance.The RoleThe Education Coordinator will join the Family Child Care team, reporting directly to the Director of Family Care. As a dedicated and skilled professional, the Education Coordinator will serve as the liaison to the educators to develop and implement a high-impact set of curricula designed to ensure children in the FCC program reach a high degree of readiness for school entry.The Education Coordinator will work with families, educators, BPS, and other academic institutions to achieve stellar results. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a positive impact in family-based education.DutiesProvide technical assistance to childcare educators on topics such as Dept. of Early Education & Care (DEEC) licensing requirements, professional development requirements, and quality programming standards in the Quality Rating Improvement System (QRIS).Develop innovative curriculums to maximize learning outcomes for the children and families through leading multi-generational, family-centered activities supported by the educators.Work with educators to ensure that all children enrolled in the FCC program are assessed at age-appropriate intervals in accordance with DEEC regulations.Assist educators with age-appropriate curriculum activities and lesson planning.Assist educators with CDA and accreditation initial and renewal applications.Conduct home visits to educator programs.Maintain educators' files in compliance with DEEC and JPNDC policies and regulations.Identify and connect community resources with educators and families.Assist, coordinate, and participate in educator professional days, additional technical assistance training, and related family activities during evenings and weekends.Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.QualificationsRequiredAssociate's Degree in Early Education Curriculum.DEEC Lead Teacher certified (infanttoddlerpreschool), Director III certified.Minimum of three years of direct service experience in early education programmingadministration.Demonstrated knowledge of DEEC policies and regulations, Quality Rating Improvement System (QRIS), and early education credentialing programs.First Aid and CPR certified.Bilingual in EnglishSpanishHaitianCape Verdean Creole.Able to use own vehicle for work daily.PreferredBachelor's Degree (B.A.) in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.Experience using early education curriculum.Demonstrated experience building strong relationships with a diverse group of people.Key SkillsMust be a team player.Excellent crisis management skills.Highly organized, strong attention to detail, and solution-oriented.Ability to work a flexible schedule consistent with program hours of operation and business needs.Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Solid oral and written communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Internet, client databases, and using technology to facilitate virtual sessions.Employment TermsCompensationThis is a full-time, salaried position with a generous benefits package.
