Category Food & Beverage DescriptionSUMMARY:As a Bartender your job is to fill drink orders either directly from a guest or through servers who place drink orders for dining room guests in the restaurant setting. They must be knowledgeable about a wide range cocktail recipes and be able to mix those drinks correctly, quickly, and without waste. Bartenders are expected to interact with guests to supply them with a drink that appears directly to their tastes. Bartenders are also responsible for taking and serving food orders to guests. They play an important role in guest satisfaction as they are responsible for checking on guests to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and drinks and take action to correct any problems. The goal is to provide an exceptional guest experience.Duties and Responsibilities: Full bar service including wine, beer and crafted cocktails Check guests' identification to ensure they are of legal drinking age Maintain a clean and organized work space Make drinks in a quick and efficient manner Provide excellent guest service Make suggestions based on their preferences Up-sell when appropriate Keep bar clean and tidy at all times Deliver checks and collect payment Adhere to all relevant health department rulesregulations and all guest service guidelinesKnowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience with developing constructive working and interpersonal relationships with colleagues and guests Experience with cash handling and POS systems Critical thinking and excellent problem solving skills Team player Excellent time management skills Excellent communication skills Active listening Guest-centric Creative thinker Ability to multi-task and work in a very busy environment Working knowledge of food and beverage laws and regulations Wear company approved uniform at all times Follow all safety and sanitization policies when cleaning, handling food and beverage Monitor alcohol intake and prohibiting sale of alcohol to intoxicated guests Attend all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvementPhysical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Able to perform work duties outside in carrying weather conditions prevalent at the times. Since 1997, The Funplex has owned and operated an amusement park company with two locations along the East Coast. The parks are a combination of family-friendly and thrill amusement rides, waterparks, bowling centers, and arcades. In December 2021, Lahn Hospitality Group purchased The Legacy Club in Cherry Hill, NJ, a country club with a prestigious golf course and membership. The club underwent significant renovation including a new restaurant, atrium event facility, and much more. In the fall of 2023 LHAG opened its first dual branded hotel, La Quinta and Hawthorn Suites, complete with 125 rooms and the first in the area to combine two different Wyndham brands.
