Chaminade College Preparatory seeks an experienced, detail oriented accounting clerk to join our Finance Department. The position will be full-time. The Position Representative DutiesPerforms various clerical and routine accounting tasks to support accounting operations through general ledger account reconciliations, posting of financial transactions, verifying input to financial systems, and utilization of accounting software. Position will also entail interaction with operating departments on their financial transactions and cover multiple functional accounting areas.RESPONSIBILITIES (KEY JOB ELEMENTS)Supports the philosophy, principles, and characteristics of Marianist Education. Assures quality services to students, faculty, staff, parents, outside organizations and communities. Support policies and procedures of Chaminade College Preparatory Bank account reconciliations Preparation of journal entries Assist with month end closing and support other members of the finance team during annual financial auditAssist accounting manager with credit card program administration and data entryAssist Accounts Payable department with processing of purchase orders and weekly check run as neededProcessing of bank depositsFinancial system data base data entryDocument retention and filing Transaction research as neededAssist with front desk reception coverage and answering of phonesSpecial projects as neededAll other duties as assignedRESPONSIBILITIES (KEY JOB ELEMENTS)Supports the philosophy, principles, and characteristics of Marianist Education.
