This position provides research and guidance to the Audit Team on setting objectives, scope, and testing methodology, and provides coaching as needed to assist Internal Audit Team Members in achieving developmental goals.Assist Chief Audit Executive in planning and executing the annual audit plan and risk assessmentAssist in developing and updating Corporate Audit Policies and ProceduresAssist in the development and managing the completion of the annual Corporate Risk Assessment and Audit PlanAssist in the annual and ongoing Corporate Audit quality assurance assessments and annual self-assessmentsDevelop the audit schedule and resource allocations for all operational, financial, or compliance audit engagementsDevelop and update audit programs and proceduresReview audit field work prepared and audit issues identified, and provide reviewcoaching feedbackPerform audit fieldwork as assigned, including the testing of the design and effectiveness of internal controlsPresent to and discuss with management audit issues, as well as recommendations with managementProvide periodic audit engagement status updates to the Chief Audit ExecutiveProvide audit reports and other deliverables to the Chief Audit Executive by target due datesPrepare or review audit project evaluations for Audit Managers and other levels as necessaryPerform engagement quality reviews for all operational, financial, or compliance audit engagementsPerform, as directed by the Chief Audit Executive, quality reviews of other engagementsProvide external audit and Audit Committee support as neededAssist in planning for and managing the completion of outsourced and co-sourced auditsRepresent Internal Audit in an observational capacity on Corporate and Bank Committees as assignedCoaching of Internal Audit personnel as necessary, including the designing and monitoring of professional development plansPrepare annual performance appraisals for assigned Audit Managers and other levels as necessaryMastery of relevant internal and external environment and the financial services industry pertaining to auditsImplement best practices and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the audit group such as CAATs (Computer Assisted Auditing Techniques)Provide consistent quality customer service to all constituents of Internal AuditBuild and maintain effective relationships with management and the Audit TeamOther duties as assignedWhat do you need?Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business; MBA preferredCertification such as CPA, andor CIA; CFE, CRCM, CFSASeasoned professional with a minimum of 8-10 years of financial institution audit experience or with public accounting firmAdvanced knowledge in applying professional auditing principles and practices (Institute of Internal Auditor's International Professional Practice Framework)Advanced knowledge of financial accounting and reporting concepts, controls over financial reporting, accounting department operations and general ledger systems, especially within the financial institutions or financial services industriesAdvanced knowledge of internal control identification, evaluation and testing concepts under Sarbanes-Oxley and COSO 2013Ability to successfully manage multiple assignments simultaneously and overseemanage assigned staffAbility to accept responsibility and account for hisher actionsAbility to perform work accurately and thoroughlyAbility to communicate orally and in writing clearly and conciselyAbility to actively and skillfully conceptualize, apply, analyze andor evaluate information generated by observation, experience, reflection, reasoning or communicationAbility to formulate a sound decision using the available informationAbility to effectively build relationships with constituents and co-workersAbility to manage own time, priorities, and resources to achieve goals and utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlinesAbility to work with Teammate+, Microsoft Suite and learnwork with other Customers Bank's applicationsAbility to travel when neededCustomers Bank is an equal opportunity employer.
