Business Insider is hiring a Programmatic Sales Director to join our Agency and Programmatic Team. In addition to internal collaboration, we work with many external partners (DSPs, SSPs) to maintain strong relationships and stay on top of trends.The Role & Team:As a Programmatic Account Director at Business Insider, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth through the sale of programmatic advertising solutions to a defined portfolio of agencies and in-house clients. The success in this role demands an intensity of effort, demonstrated through targeted outreach, pitch meetings, and securing new PMP and PG deals on a weekly basis, in partnership with Business Insider's vertical sales teams.The Programmatic Account Director reports directly to the Programmatic Team Lead and sits on the Agency & Programmatic team. This position is based in our New York City HQ with an in-office presence of at least 3 days per week.Key Responsibilities:Programmatic Sales Strategy:Develop and execute a strategic plan to secure programmatic deals from existing named accounts in collaboration with the direct sales team.Work closely with the agency team to identify and grow new programmatic accounts through effective relationship-building and solution-oriented sales approaches.Client Relationships:Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing named accounts, understanding their broader advertising goals and identifying opportunities for programmatic campaigns.Collaborate with the agency team to engage with new clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored programmatic advertising solutions.Prospecting and Outreach:Leverage existing relationships with named accounts to introduce and promote programmatic offerings, showcasing the added value of Business Insider's solutions.Collaborate with the agency team to identify and engage new programmatic opportunities through targeted outreach, industry events, and networking.Mine the open exchange to identify new target and upsell opportunitiesIntensity of Effort:Conduct a minimum of 100 outreach emails weekly to named accounts and potential new clients, showcasing Business Insider's programmatic offerings.Schedule and execute a minimum of 2-3 pitch meetings per day to present programmatic solutions and gather client requirements.Secure a minimum of 3 new PMP deals per week, meeting or exceeding weekly sales targets.Cross-Team Collaboration:Partner with the direct sales team to ensure a unified and cohesive approach to clients, providing seamless integration of programmatic solutions into broader advertising strategies.Collaborate with the agency team to align programmatic offerings with client objectives, fostering a collaborative and consultative sales environment. Understand and document the unique ways that your assigned agencies plan and buy programmaticallyCampaign Management and Optimization:Work collaboratively with internal teams, including Ad Operations and Account Management, to ensure successful execution and optimization of programmatic campaigns for both existing and new accounts.Provide insights and recommendations to clients and internal teams for optimizing programmatic campaigns to achieve maximum ROI.Reporting and Analysis:Provide regular reports and analyses on programmatic sales performance, highlighting successes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.Collaborate with internal teams to gather feedback from clients and incorporate insights into refining programmatic offerings.The Ideal Candidate Has:Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.Proven experience in programmatic sales, including strong experience within the digital media industry.Strong understanding of programmatic advertising technologies, platforms, and industry trends.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Results-oriented with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.Be a consummate team player who loves to share and hates to lose.Bonus points: you've been working with Publicis extensively and have deep connections with programmatic teams and leadership there.Salary & Benefits: $150,000-$185,000 total compensation package Unlimited PTO, 10 paid holidays, and 16 weeks of parental leaveComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plansMatched and vested 401k planAccess to resources for financial planning guidance, family planning services, mental health reachout and Employee Assistance Programs (EAP)Additional benefits include commuter benefits, phone reimbursement, gym membership discounts, and more Business Insider is committed to providing equal employment opportunities and, when making employment decisions, does not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity or expression, sex, sexual orientation, age, nationality or national origin, religion, disability, familial status, and military or veteran status.
