THE PROGRAMThe Dependency Drug Court Program provides adult screenings and referrals to drug andor alcohol treatment for families that are involved with Child Welfare Services (CWS). SUD Case Managers are stationed at the five (5) Dependency Courts located at County of San Diego Superior Court buildings. SUD Case Managers work with the client, social worker and Court to determine the treatment program best suited for the client. Case Managers facilitate the client entry into treatment and report the status to Child Welfare Service case workers. Clients needing additional supportive services can also be referred to the Level 2 Drug Court program. In this program, clients work with the Drug Court Specialist and have weekly support group meetings with the Judge and other Drug Court participants.THE POSITIONThe SUD Case Managers conducts screenings and referrals to AOD treatment from their assigned courthouse. The Case Manager coordinates with Child Welfare Services, the court, and the treatment provider to assist clients into entering the appropriate level of care. Case Managers follow up with the treatment program to ensure the client has followed through with the referral. Case Managers also serve as an AOD resource for CWS. SAS's enter their screenings into E-Court. An example of tasks include:Screen and refer clients to AOD treatment.Set up intake appointment for client at treatment municate with CWS worker on referral.Provide support and encouragement to clientsEnter e-court information for all clients accurately and in a timely manner.Act as a regional resource for CWS clients needing treatment.Follow up with clients to make sure they followed referral by SAS.Provide needed reports to Program Manager in a timely plete other duties as assigned by supervisorREQUIREMENTS•Registered or Certified chemical dependency counselor in the state of California and one year of experience working with SUD clients. RADT with CCAPP, CADPT or other agency; •Must offer certain linguistic, gender, cultural and ethnic specific skills: must be able to work with culturally diverse population.•Must be free of parole and probation for 1 year as specified by contract.•Must have a valid California driver's license, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation to get to multiple sites.•Ability to pass a background check, TB, and drug screen.•Bilingual EnglishSpanish preferred.HOURSMonday - Friday 8:30am - 5pmPAYRegistered $21.50 per hourCertified $24.50 per hourThese are starting rates and may be adjusted up based on education and experience.Current Vista Hill employees in these job titles for 2024 are paid:$21.50 - $27 for Registered; and$24.50 - $33 for CertifiedBENEFITSEmployees working over 30 hours a week receive employer-paid benefits, including medical, dental, vision, paid time off (vacation and sick leave), paid holidays, employer-paid retirement contribution and clinical supervision (if applicable).
