Senior Account Executive 1, Mid Market SalesJob SummaryThe Senior Account Executive 1 sells Equinix solutions to mid-market new accounts andor expands existing accounts. Acts as Lead or SME resource for more junior members on the Corporate Sales team. Majority of interaction with customer via phone and email. Occasional travel to local accounts.ResponsibilitiesIdentifies customer's business needs, challenges, and technical requirements and matches to Equinix solutions in partnership with SEsSAsDelivers pitch on Equinix product set and solutions in partnership with SESAsSells full suite of Equinix offerings to include global footprintLeverages external partners to drive solution development in new areasprospectsBuilding and guiding customer relationshipsWill work under sales leadership guidance to buildmaintain relationships with key stakeholders in assigned account and prospectsConducts daily account management of existing Equinix customers based on assigned territory, including monthly recurring and non-recurring transactions, upsell opportunities, contract renewals and positioning Equinix's global platformEngages and influences key decision makers within client baseFacilitates customer contract renewals and negotiations to protect revenue with sales leadership guidanceYou proactively address high churn risk customers leveraging internal resources and occasionally external partnersCoordinates with cross-functional sales support teams as necessaryPipeline Management; Monitors and provides updates on status of each account to grow future business and provide accurate forecastsQualifications3+ years' experience in sales and account mgmt. preferredBachelor's degree preferredThe United States targeted pay range for this position in the following location is locations are:•San Francisco, CA Bay Area: $105,000 to $157,000 per year•California (Non-SFBay Area), Connecticut, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Washington state: $96,000 to $144,000 per yearOur pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education andor training.This position may be offered in other locations. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your preferred location during the hiring process.The targeted pay range displayed reflects On-Target Earnings or OTE, which is base pay plus commissions, and does not include equity or benefits.
