PT Per-Diem Physician Assistant Educator - HN0111

DescriptionThe PT paraprofessional is a per-diem physician assistant educator who utilizes their clinical practice expertise to collaborate with full-time faculty to provide a more robust educational experience for physician assistant students.Position DutiesAssisting course coordinators in teaching clinical or procedural skills to students.Preparing and delivering lectures in the area of clinical expertise.Participating in formative and summative assessments of students.Providing thoughtful feedback on student work and assisting in interviewing prospective student candidates. Performs other such duties as may be assigned from time to time. Position QualificationsMaster's Degree required. At least 1 year of clinical practice is required.Current NCCPA certification required. Current NYS PA Licensure required. Prior experience in teaching Physician Assistant students is preferred.Work Hoursup to 20 hours per week - generally Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM; hours may vary. This is an on-call assignment and shifts are scheduled through the course coordinators weeks to months in advance.
