Job Summary:IPH is seeking a Staff Accountant that will primarily be responsible for the monthly accounting close and supporting and maintaining accurate financial information for IPH's holding companies.The Staff Accountant reports to the Accounting Manager for IPH. This role's responsibilities include but are not limited to recording transactions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciling accounts, bank reconciliation, and assisting in the month-end close process. The drive to deliver timely and effective results in a fast-paced environment is required for this role to be successful.Location: Hybrid in New York City - Midtown EastMain Responsibilities:Recording cash journal entries and preparing monthly bank reconciliations.Assists in preparing monthly trial balance and accounts reconciliations.Assists with preparation of quarterly, and year-end US GAAP consolidation process.Assist in preparing tie-outs and gathering support for financial statements and footnote disclosures.Assist on external audits of the consolidated financial statements.Maintains balance sheet account analysis, including intercompany, fixed assets and intangible assets schedules.Assist on the implementation of a centralized ERP system including providing ongoing maintenance and upkeep of the general ledger.Assist on building accounting processes and internal controls for assessment of risks.Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with a concentration in accounting1-3 years of accounting experienceBalance of technical knowledge and business acumenProactive, self-starter with ability to manage multiple tasks effectivelyExcellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignmentHigh degree of organization, individual initiative, and personal accountabilityPreferred Qualifications:Degree in AccountingFull-strength skillset using Microsoft Office productsFamiliar with consolidations and consolidated financial statementsPrevious experience with insurance companyorganization#LI-SM1#IPH#LI-HybridAll of our jobs come with great benefits including healthcare, parental leave and opportunities for career advancements.
