Title: Associate, Match Presentation (Part-Time) Department: Marketing (Match Presentation) Reports to: Coordinator, Match Presentation Compensation: $20.00hour, (Non-exempt) POSITION OVERVIEWNew York City FC's Match Presentation department is responsible for the live in-stadium production during the club's home matches, and the Match Presentation Associate will play a vital role in executing all entertainment and operational aspects of the show. Goals of this position are to drive fan engagement, build and activate dynamic and creative content that supports team marketing and branding efforts, and providing home players & supporters with the best home-field advantage in Major League Soccer. The ideal candidate must have a strong work ethic and a desire to execute events and activities that bring fans closer to the team and sport through creative ideas and optimal execution.WHAT YOU'LL DOAct as Lead Stage Manager during all New York City FC and New York City FC II home matchesAssist the Coordinator, Match Presentation in all back-of-house production logisticsLead field-level setup prior to all home matches, including but not limited to special effects, DJ setup, in-game prizing, props, and more.Act as liaison for club during pregame Match Coordination meetings between both teams & MLS officialsAssist in the tracking and maintenance of all Match Presentation props and equipmentCoordinate all entertainment related credential requests and staffing tier listsAssist in creating content ideas that enhance fan engagement and stadium atmosphereBook and schedule all entertainment talent for the show, including national anthem performers, honor guard groups, and special ceremoniesperformancesResearch industry-wide best practices and current entertainment trends Exhibit a willingness to learn & operate control room positions, as neededPerform other assignments and provide event support on non-matchdays, as directedWHAT YOU'LL BRINGPrior stage management experience in professional or high-level collegiate sportsAbility to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays, if necessary (attendance at all New York City FC and New York City FC II home matches is mandatory) Candidate is expected to work roughly 25-30 hours per week, including home matchesFamiliarity with control room and production technology a plusWork often includes long hours of prolonged standing and physical activity, as well as exposure to weatherCandidate will work in close proximity to theatrical effects including smoke devices, pyro, and lighting effectsStrong interest in staying up to date with pop culture and Game Presentation industry trendsMust have proficient computer skills with a strong understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPointExperience with Adobe Creative Suite a plusComposed manner when dealing with professional athletes and home sporting staffMust have a fundamental knowledge of the global soccer landscape, Major League Soccer, and New York City FC ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Applicant must be able to comply with MLS Next Safety and Well-Being policy and any other applicable child safety policies provided to applicants by New York City FCAbility to handle a fast-paced, high stress environmentAbility to work both autonomously and as a member of a team.WHAT WE OFFER:Two complimentary tickets to select NYCFC home matchTeam outings, happy hours, and annual staff gatherings to celebrate our co-workersA dynamic, ambitious, and fun work environmentNEW YORK CITY FOOTBALL CLUB OVERVIEW:At New York City FC, we are on a mission to build this city into one of the soccer capitals of the world.
