More information about PLI may be found on our website is searching for a legal professional to fill the role of Program Attorney (responsibilities and qualifications are described below) Work in a collaborative environment with a diverse, employee community where staff enjoy a generous benefits package and a genuine commitment to a work-life balance (4+ weeks of paid time off and hybrid remotein-person schedules for most roles).SUMMARYThe Program Attorney will be responsible for designing, creating, budgeting, and executing successful continuing legal education (CLE) programs to educate lawyers and related legal professionals on all aspects of insurance law through a variety of delivery formats.The Program Attorney reports to the Senior Director, Programs Content and Strategy.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESCoordinate all phases of program planning and execution for new programs covering all aspects of insurance law and related areas in a variety of formats (live, webcast, on-demand) with a goal of 75-100 hours of content per year.Responsible for working with subject matter experts to develop a comprehensive insurance content roadmap, identify program topics and recruit volunteer faculty speakers.Oversee an insurance advisory council of legal experts who provide input on and suggestions for new content.Work closely and collaboratively with PLI Marketing, Membership, Multimedia, Publishing and CLE departments to ensure assigned programs are well attended and meet all requirements for accreditation and all internal deadlines are met.Create, continually monitor and meet budget goals.Research and maintain current knowledge of legal developments in insurance law to ensure that existing and new programs address relevant topics that address the needs of the insurance market.Other duties, as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTSLaw degree and 8-10 years combined experience in law, management, program design and coordinationWorking knowledge of insurance law, either through legal practice or at a similarly situated continuing legal educational providerJ.D. and admittance to a U.S. state bar is requiredExperience managing and leading a teamProactive approach to maintaining knowledge of current legal developmentsExcellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication and organizational skillsExcellent computer skills with knowledge of budgetingfinancial planning and various software programsMust be detail oriented, even-tempered and maintain a positive can-do attitudePeriodic travel may be requiredFull-time position with a flexible hybrid home and on-site office work scheduleSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThe Program Attorney will oversee one Program Coordinator who will assist the Program Attorney in all aspects of program planning and execution.LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIESProductive Relationship Builder: Capable of initiating and cultivating productive relationships with both internal and external constituencies.Skilled Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strategic Thinker: Armed with information about current legal developments, can see opportunities for PLI to strengthen and expand its position in the CLE marketplace and present them to senior management.Diplomatic: Ability to manage competing interests and differing opinions, to a successful resolution.PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICSMaintains a high level of professionalism through excellent interpersonal and communication skillsEthical and trustworthy as shown by consistent actionCollaborative team player, caring, collegial and patientHighly intelligent with strong performance standardsDemonstrates a positive attitudeServes as a professional role model for the organizationAnticipates and deals with issues proactively and positivelyFlexible and responsive to changeDemonstrates curiosity; is enthusiastic about learningWell-organized and self-directedPassionate about continuing legal education and training of the current and next generation of lawyersYOUR BENEFITS AT PLIPLI offers a generous benefits package and is committed to creating an interesting, collegial, and supportive work environment:Medical, dental and vision plans for employees and their familiesGenerous employer contribution to employee retirement savings accountAmple paid time off and holidays, summer FridaysFlexible hybrid remotein-person scheduling for most rolesUnlimited access to LinkedIn Learning web-based training along with other career development opportunitiesWork-life balance initiativesOne-time $500 Home Office AllowanceGymWellness Allowance of up to $300 each calendar yearCOMPENSATION RANGE FOR THIS POSITION$140,000 - $150,000 per annum (Exact compensation offer may vary based on the candidate's job-related skills and work experience.)
