When you join Stream, you won't simply start a new job-you will build a meaningful and impactful career.Job DescriptionPOSITION OVERVIEWThe Chief Engineer will be responsible for planning, implementing, coordinating, and supervising all mechanical operations, maintenance, communications, energy management, and manpower development programs for assigned properties.RESPONSIBILITIESSupervise Engineers and maintenance staff, including hiring, training, personnel development, etc.Manage operational accounts for building as required and assist in the development of operating and capital budgetsAssist in maintenanceengineering issues as requiredRecommendimplement improvements for the preventive maintenance program on an ongoing basisDevelopmaintain effective building-specific maintenance and safety procedure manuals and enforce complianceCoordinate maintenance efforts with outside contractors, tenant finish personnel, and engineersOversee all building systems, including firelife safety, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical issues; must remain current with the latest HVAC technology trendsMaintain ongoing communication with tenants, owners, property management, and vendorsMay assist in the solicitation and acquisition of new management contractsDevelopmaintain as-built drawingsRespond quickly to emergency situations (i.e., fire, evacuation, equipment failure, etc.) and customer concernsImplement and administer inventory control programspurchase parts and suppliesDevelop specifications and assist in solicitation and administration of maintenancerepair service contractsEnsure compliance with applicable codes, requisitions, government agencies, and Company directives as relates to building operations.QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED equivalent5+ years of related work experience, depending on the size of the propertyOperating Engineers license (SMA) or equivalentMust be certified as a Universal Technician for CFCs or within 90 days of employmentAdditional InformationStream is an equal-opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, disability, military status, or any other reason prohibited by law.
