(SUB)MERCER Operations ManagerThe Role:As the Operations Manager at (SUB)MERCER your vibrant energy and assisting capabilities at the club is extremely important and you will play a valuable role in the overall guest and employee experience. In this role, you will be expected to carry out the duties listed below along with various applicable tasks throughout your shifts. The Responsibilities:Uphold (SUB)MERCER values and mission statement while performing position's responsibilities and adhering to company policies and proceduresMonitors reservation system daily including phone and email inquiriesResponds to all guest inquiries within 24 hours or less with priority attention to Zero Bond members, in house Mercer hotel guests and VIP'sEnsures all staff upholds (SUB)MERCER food and beverage standardsEnsure that the (SUB)MERCER expectations of personal groominguniform standards are met at all times by the staffBe instrumental in the recruitment and training of new staffManaging food and beverage day to day operations within budget and to (SUB)MERCER standardsConduct quarterly staff meetingsPromote teamwork within the space, creating a positive work environmentReport on food and beverage sales, results, and productivityEnsures DOH compliance throughout the spaceMaintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibilitySet and monitors budgets; analyze budget variances and takes correct actionsWeekly reporting of financial expense, labor costs and payrollOversees training and evaluating all FOH personnelDevelops and implements operating proceduresIdentify and evaluate competitorsPlans and coordinates menusEnsures quality of food and presentationExcellent ability to multitask in high pressure situationsOversees overall maintenance, repairs for all FOH and BOH equipmentPromotes positive employee relations at all timesEnsure the highest levels of organization are maintained throughout all FOHBOH Performs other duties as required or assigned by General Manager or Director of OperationsRequirements:•Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry•Excellent verbal and written communication skills•Strong leadership and team management abilities•Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to handle an array of situations•Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills•High attention to detail and organizational skills•Proficient in using computer systems and software relevant to the positionBenefits:•401k•Medical, Vision and Dental insurance•Commuter Benefits•Daily meals providedPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that are to be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
