Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Manager, Professional ServicesLocation: New York, NYDuration: 5-month ContractWork Type: HybridPay Range: $36.42 - $55HrRole Purpose: This strategic sourcing manager will be responsible for leading the sourcing activities for projects across the Selling General and Administrative (SG&A) category. These services will include but are not limited to, Financial Services, Professional Services, and HR-related services. The strategic sourcing manager analyzes data and works with internal business partners to identify opportunities, develop strategies, develop, and manage RFx's, and negotiate agreements in this area. Must have the ability to think analytically, work independently, and manage multiple competing priorities.QualificationsBasic Requirements: Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in a sophisticated sourcing environment. Bachelor's Degree in Business, law, or a related field. Must be willing to work in New York, NY; generally contributing from the office a minimum of 3 days per week. Strong proficiency in all stages of the sourcing life cycle (from market analysis to procure to pay), especially the negotiation of contractual agreements. Cost Modeling: Ability to understand cost drivers and how to break down cost structuresDesired Characteristics: Skills and flexibility to assume a variety of projects in the aforementioned categories are required. Quantitative analytics skills including the ability to analyze complex data and build cost models. Communication and Interpersonal skills including crisp verbal skills plus effective listening skills; and effective facilitation skills. Execution skills including persistent drive for results utilizing sound project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Responsibilities: Analyze spending data from a variety of sources to develop and implement sourcing strategies. Build pricing models and financial analysis in support of negotiation strategies. Negotiate and implement deals that maximize cost savings, improve service levels, mitigate contractual risks, and createimprove overall value for our client for the category areas mentioned above. Manage the RFx process utilizing sourcing best practices. Negotiate contracts with a focus on commercial terms Develop project plans, deliverables, metrics, and milestones.
