Designer, Kids Footwear - Dolce Vita

General Summary: Dolce Vita Footwear, a women's fashion footwear manufacturer, is seeking a full-time Kid's Designer for their First Cost Division. We are a high energy, fashion driven company and are looking for an organized, hardworking, self-motivated person to join our New York based design team.Work Responsibilities:Collaborate with Private Brands customer & sales team from concept to final productResearch and forecast market trends, material, color and silhouettesDesign seasonal Kid's footwear collections for our customersDevelopment of seasonal color palettePresent seasonal Trend direction to customersSketch, CAD and create and maintain detailed spec sheetsDaily communication with overseas factories and agentsWork with sample rooms and agents on prototype correctionsTravel internationally and domestically as neededWork closely with production to ensure designs are executed in appropriate price range & to customer standards.Support design team on various tasks such as line sheets, customers PLM systems, sample tracking.The ideal candidate would meet the following requirements:Must have Bachelor or Associates degree in Fashion DesignIndustrial design or have related experience5+ years' experience in footwear designExperience in Kid's footwear is a requirementUnderstanding of footwear components and constructionsExcellent communication and organizational skillsProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)Ability to sketch by hand and by using softwareTeam oriented, able to juggle multiple tasks in fast paced environmentSalary Range: The pay range of this position is $75K - $85K. Actual salary will be determined based off candidate's skill sets, years of experience, and other job-related factors. This range does not include benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, 401K, and additional company benefits
