Job DetailsJob LocationNorthbrook - NORTHBROOK, ILPosition TypeRegular Full-TimeJob CategoryOfficerDescriptionThis position reports to Vice PresidentCredit Manager, Lease Finance Group.Basic FunctionResponsible for underwriting Lease Finance transactions. Qualifying new opportunities, portfolio management of existing Lease portfolio. Also, responsible for assisting Lease Documentation Officer with scheduling, documentation review, and funding of Lease transactions.Essential DutiesAssist in evaluating the creditworthiness of potential clients via written and verbal presentations.Evaluate credit, recommend or make risks known on lease transactions.Prepare credit write ups with a focus on writing narratives on the solvency and inherent risks to include, but not limited to:Assess lending risks, clearly identifying offsetting mitigants Review and analyze financial statementsComplete collateral analysisRecommend credit risk ratingMonitor factors affecting a variety of industries and connect their impact to clients' future operating and financial performancePerform additional departmental duties such as:Complete annual reviews in line with Credit Policy Review borrowing base certificates, covenant compliance and AR agings as necessaryAttend Loan Committee meetings as requested Attend bank meetings for current andor potential lease clientsMaintain electronic credit filesAttend training as scheduledCoordinate, prepare and review lease documentation, for funding and ensure each is set-up on system of record with Lease Operations Department:Ensures documents have been properly authorized and executedEnsures funding is within parameters of the credit approvalConducts due diligence, review of all documentation, to ensure all terms and conditions are in orderEnsures proper (physical and electronic) filing and maintenance of lease documentation packages and scanning of documents, including but not limited to: E-Original vault systemUpdates exceptions tracking for receipt of lease monitoring requirements as well as ensures that post closing items are collected in a timely mannerNonessential DutiesOther duties as assignedQualificationsKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesAbility to perform ratio analysis, complete risk assessments and make sound credit decisionsProficiency in creditlending transactions and analytical skills sufficient to independently underwrite credit commitments Knowledge and understanding of lease documentationTact and diplomacy in dealing with team members, clients Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsProven ability to communicate verbally and in writing with internal and external customers and with various levels of managementAbility to work in a team environmentCollaborative and strategic mindset to improve department processes and functionsFlexibility in adapting to changing volumes and areas of focusAccounting and finance knowledge Detail orientedAbility to multi-task while meeting deadlinesTraining & ExperienceCollege degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent related experienceMinimum 3 years' experience in banking industryMinimum 3 years' experience in lease bankinglendingMicrosoft Office proficiencyPrevious lease documentation experience desirableFormal credit training preferredCompensationExpected Salary Range: $93,000 - $115,000Salary will be negotiated based on relevant skills and experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.BenefitsFirst Bank Chicago offers a comprehensive benefits package including medicaldentalvisionlife insurance; 401(k); paid time off (PTO); and eligibility for an annual bonus.
