Internship PR/Communications

OMA is looking for an intern to join our Communications team in New York starting from October 2024. The team is responsible for communicating OMA New York's work and thinking to global audiences. You will assist the team in preparing press materials, lectures, marketing collateral, and social media content. In addition, you will be involved in day-to-day tasks such as handling media requests, monitoring press coverage, and maintaining in-house project documentation libraries and archives. The internship offers the opportunity to work closely and collaboratively with the partners leading OMA New York and contribute to the studio's communication strategy. Qualifications: Students or recent graduates in architecture, journalism, communications, design, or art historyFamiliarity of OMA's projects Knowledge and interest in the broader cultural and social contexts of architectureExcellent verbal and written English; Japanese is a plus but not mandatory Proficiency Microsoft Office, primarily PowerPointProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, primarily InDesign, Illustrator, and PhotoshopSkills in photography and video editing and proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro are a plusProactive and self-directed with ability to work and communicate well within a teamOrganized, detail-oriented, and efficientResponsibilities:Monitor and archive press coverage and compile weekly reportsRespond to media requestsCreate content and schedule posts for social channelsMaintain OMA New York's contact database, project archive, and publication librariesRegularly update and post to OMA's websiteRegularly update and produce text and visual materials for internal and external communicationProduce digital and print materials, including project books, pamphlets, and portfoliosThis internship will be full-time and remunerated with a monthly stipend.To apply, please use our online application form and include a cover letter, resume, writing samples, andor design portfolio.
