Our offices around the U.S. are open and while most of our people work in a hybrid setting, we are a distributed workforce with a number of Knowners working remotely.BUT ENOUGH ABOUT US, LET'S TALK ABOUT YOUAbout the role:Known's Media Science team uses advanced analytics, machine learning, statistics, and algorithms to plan and optimize advertising dollars. We partner with our clients to translate their business goals into meaningful metrics, and buy media across all channels to drive those target outcomes. The MediaData Science team continues to grow and so does our need for a Specialist, Social. This position is responsible for the creation, maintenance, and optimization of our ad campaigns, using analytics, automation, and piloting existing tools. Typically working in a team with at least one more senior member, our Paid Social Specialist is expected to have excellent critical thinking skills, with an innate sense of curiosity and the desire to explore new ways to evolve and improve our processes and deliver ROI for our clients. In addition, time and project management skills are key to being successful in this role. Being a Specialist, Social at Known is a unique opportunity for those pursuing a career in this field. In addition to the analytics and operations which form the basis of our campaigns, our social analysts sometimes work directly with clients, attending client meetings and occasionally presenting results with support from more senior members. They are responsible for contributing significantly to deliverables, including regular campaign updates.WHAT YOU'LL DOIndependently build and sometimes present campaign-related analyses and results. These analyses can include everything from creative image analysis to audience deep dives, bid approaches, and measurement results.Assisting in all elements of a paid social campaign builds across platforms such as Meta, YouTube, TikTok, Reddit, or Pinterest - includes account configuration, media planning, campaign setup and ad trafficking, and QA.Own the day-to-day monitoring, management, optimization, and development of assigned campaignsDerive and implement optimizations and new campaign strategies, such as new bid approach, AB tests, and audience testing to improve performanceIdeate on new analytical methodologies for optimizing campaignsValidate data analyses by reviewing and performing audits of our data in reporting or creating new analyses that better serve our clients or improve our efficiencyOperate existing software infrastructure to traffic, evaluate performance, and analyze mediaCampaign billing and actualization within media finance systemsWHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU HAVEA BSBA degree from an accredited college or university1-2 years professional experience in analytics, advertising, ad tech, or media1+ years of professional experience working with Social Media ad platforms such as Meta Ads ManagerCan exhibit technical leadership and critical thinking by reviewing and identifying errors Skills, Abilities, and KnowledgeUnderstanding of the fundamentals of social media advertisingKnowledge of social platforms including FacebookInstagram, YouTube, TikTok, Reddit, Pinterest and LinkedInHigh proficiency with ExcelStrong math and statistics foundational knowledgeProven ability to work independently and efficientlyAttention to detail Time management Excellent verbal and written communication Some experience presenting work and the desire to develop this areaAptitude for deeply interpreting dataanalytics Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker or Tableau is a plusCompetencies Detail-oriented with a desire for managing the quality & accuracy of analytics, including checking your own and others' workA desire to work on challenging problems that require flexibility in approach Ability to think strategically, analytically, and proactively about diverse business problemsCollaborative attitudeSelf motivated and exhibits initiativeWilling & able to learn quicklyAbundant intellectual curiosity and integritySOME OF OUR PERKSUnlimited paid time off401k with company matching and no vesting periodAnnual bonusesGenerous medical planPaid parental leaveONE LAST THING TO ASK YOURSELFAll this might sound great, but you're probably still wondering, "Would I be a good fit for Known?" or "Would Known be a good fit for me?"
