Your expertise in digital advertising and paid media management allows you to craft strategies that not only captivate audiences but also deliver measurable results.Your experience in working in or closely with creative agencies has equipped you with the ability to work seamlessly across disciplines, collaborating closely with designers and other creatives to translate insights into impactful visual and written content. Above all, you are a collaborative team player who understands the importance of consultation and communication in achieving success, and you are constantly seeking to learn, improve, and deliver greater value.About the RoleAs the Director of Strategy, you will play a crucial leadership role within our agency, guiding the strategic direction of our projects and campaigns, and ensuring the successful execution of client engagements. You will oversee the entire lifecycle of client projects, from the discovery phase through to completion, ensuring that our strategies deliver actionable insights and drive impactful communication efforts.You will be actively involved in client discovery, analyzing data, and delivering key insights that inform strategic messaging recommendations. Your ability to present and synthesize data for leaders in progressive politics, advocacy, and philanthropy will be essential.While this role does not involve managing a team, you will work closely with our analysts, designers, and other team members to ensure that projects are executed effectively and efficiently. You will collaborate with the Head of Research, Chief Creative Officer, Project Managers, and other Directors and Senior Directors to refine systems and practices that support the scalability and efficiency of our client delivery addition to leading client projects, you will engage your network to help grow our portfolio of work. Drawing from social science, storytelling, organizing, and campaign principles, you will help shape the strategic backbone of our agency's offerings. The role may also require you to support the new business cycle from time to time.ResponsibilitiesLead strategic development and client engagements from discovery through strategic development, analysis & presentations, copywriting and at times script writing Collaborate closely with analysts, account directors, designers, and other team members to execute projects effectively and efficiently.Develop and refine the creative strategy for campaign, brands, and research projectsDevelop and maintain strong relationships with clients and key external stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.Work with the executive team to build a pipeline of client prospects, contributing to the agency's growth.Collaborate with the Sr Director of Strategy and Creative Directors to refine creative output, management systems and processes that support the client delivery team's efficiency.Facilitate cross-functional collaborations with research, strategy, creative, marketing, growth and leadership teams to deliver comprehensive, multidisciplinary strategies.Qualifications8 - 12 years of experience in creative advertising agencies, political research, messaging, communications, or a related field. A focus on American political or advocacy campaigning is a big asset.Deep understanding of the political, advocacy, or philanthropic landscape, with a commitment to advancing progressive values.Extensive experience in both long-form and short-form copywriting, including messaging frameworks, headlines, taglines, and ad copy.Strong background in digital advertising and paid media management, with a focus on measurable results.Experience in a creative agency environment, with a history of working closely with designers and other creatives.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas into clear, actionable strategies.High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills, with a passion for collaboration and teamwork.Ability to navigate high level strategic planning and tactical execution seamlessly.A commitment to leveraging social science and research to develop strategies that drive social good.A track record of building and maintaining relationships with clients and external stakeholders, contributing to the agency's growth and impact.A collaborative spirit, with a commitment to consultation, communication, and continuous learning.The salary band for this role starts at $115,000 annually and will be commensurate with experience.ABOUT A-BFounded in 2018, A-B is redesigning the commercial creative agency with a new mission for a new moment.
