Client will move quickly qualified candidatesClient offers a hybrid work modelAbout Our ClientEstablished Property Management Firm.Job DescriptionOversee and manage a team to ensure all compliance requirements are met, including recertifications, rent registrations, and lease renewals.Review and assign tasks, such as mailing recertification requests and comparing additional information letters with plete full annual recertifications for properties as needed.Process and move in applicants in accordance with relevant regulations.Maintain waiting lists in compliance with applicable agency regulations.Address audits and requests from various agencies.Meet with residents as necessary to resolve issues such as incorrect lease charges, household composition changes, or recertification requests.Assist in reviewing lease charge discrepancies, providing analysis, and collaborating on corrective actions with the accounting team.Approve move-ins for assigned properties.Track and monitor recertification progress to ensure timely completion of all certifications.Ensure timely and accurate filing of annual rent increases, utility allowances, and other necessary forms.Collaborate with team members to review property needs and develop strategies for achieving compliance goals, ensuring no terminations.Oversee the processing of lease renewals using property management software, ensuring accurate and timely submission of documentation to relevant agencies.Ensure leases are properly signed by residents and submitted on time to required authorities.Prequalify income and screen applicants for unit vacancies.Track and manage transfer inquiries, coordinating with agencies on processing requests.Manage collection of first-month rent payments and security deposits at move-in, and assist residents with recertification requests.Review and update tenant selection plans for assigned properties.Perform other duties as needed based on project requirements or directives.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantAt least 5 years of experience in Property Management, with a focus on Mitchell Lama and Section 8 compliance.High School diploma or GED; some college coursework preferred.Experience in supervising staff.Knowledge of affordable housing programs.Strong understanding of annual certification processes.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.Experience with Yardi software is a plus.Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams in a fast-paced environment.Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.Notary Public certification is preferred.What's on OfferMy client is offering a competitive compensation package, salary + bonus.
