Layer Health is an AI startup spun out of MIT, revolutionizing chart review for healthcare. Using the latest LLM technology, we are vastly improving the value and impact that can be unlocked from medical record data.We know that all organizations in the healthcare ecosystem struggle to extract and synthesize insights from medical charts at scale. Our AI layer radically speeds up and improves the quality of information gleaned from these medical records to power a wide range of impactful use cases from research to quality measurement to clinical care pathways.Our diverse founding team brings expertise across machine learning, large language models, medicine, and human-computer interaction.We're currently hiring a Head of Special Projects Chief of Staff to help define and lead a broad range of strategic initiatives across the organization including evaluating new market opportunities, product use cases and strategic partnerships within both the health system and life sciences areas.You can expect to:Work closely with the CEO and Chief Business Officer to support new business growth strategy & executionRegularly gather competitive intelinsights on the marketProvide support and oversight for special projects and strategic initiatives from inception to conclusion - engaging with the broader Commercial and Product teamsEngage with external strategic partners (e.g., potential channel partners, co-development partners) to define, negotiate and implement durable and impactful partnershipsPlan, coordinate and lead high priority meetings, events, workshops, etc.Work with the commercial team to organize and plan strategic business initiatives from ideation to implementationSupport account development and strategic client partnerships as neededWe look for:3-5 years of experience, ideally with half or more of your experience coming from a consulting firm (McKinsey, BCG, etc), in a client-facing rolePrior experience either directly working for an early stage health tech company, or supporting a health tech company via consultancyA solid grasp of the healthcare industry competitive landscape; a clear understanding of use cases, industry challenges, and competitive landscape across one or more of these areas (in this order of priority): Health systems, healthcare IT companies, data providers aggregators, and life sciences, pharmaceutical, medical device, and health systemsA deep analytical mindset; someone who seeks through through data and is able to draw insightful conclusions and present findings to an internal or external audience with poise and convictionPrevious experience supporting an ML-driven software product within the health tech space is a big plusJoin us and help us transform healthcare with AI. Compensation is dependent on experience, overall fit to our role, and candidate location. Expected compensation ranges for this role may change over time.
