Job Overview:We are seeking a Procurement Manager for our Heat Transfer team based in Bloomfield, New Jersey, office which handles the procurement of proprietary and non-proprietary fired heaters, as well as heat exchangers and other specialized equipment. This position will be responsible for the management of the procurement disciplines and the integrity of the procurement work produced. Primary functions include complying with Lummus Technology's business & legal policies, managing supplier base and ensuring effective management of procurement procedures. Provides leadership and instruction to the procurement team members and ensures that the work is coordinated between departments, offices and suppliers. The responsibilities include administrative tasks, management of procurement disciplines and keeping the integrity of the procurement work produced. Trains and develops employees to improve and enhance individual careers.Key ResponsibilitiesDirect and give guidance to the Purchasing, and Document Controls TeamNegotiation of terms and conditions, price level and scheduleManage Supply Chain risks and opportunitiesUnderstands the Company's terms & conditions for purchasing, ensuring Company T&C's are metUnderstand and negotiate contract requirementsEvaluate and record supplier performanceMonitor and manage deliveries and potential claim settlements with suppliersSafeguard and manage departmental and purchase order budgetsAnalyze and report cost impacts Provide workhour budgets for proposalsEstablish overall procurement workhour planningDevelop and update project progress measurement Support business development activitiesProvide market intelligence to organizationEnsures that work procedures and standards are maintained among officesSkills, Knowledge & ExpertiseBasic Qualifications:Bachelor of Science degree 8+ years of procurement experience with engineered equipment (experience in Refining Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or industrial fabrication industries preferred)Project Management experience is helpfulExperienced and knowledgeable in project finance aspects, planning, cost control, legal matters and project progress measurement.Experienced with overseas supplier managementExperienced with preparation and analysis of project schedules Strong oral and written English communication skillsContract negotiation experience including terms and conditions, price and scheduleAbility to work effectively independently as well as part of a teamAbility and willingness to travel (minimal travel is required)Skilled in MS Word, Excel and Power PointCompany Overview:With a heritage spanning more than 115 years and a focus on innovation that has resulted in more than 140 technologies and 4,100 patents, Lummus is the global leader in the development and implementation of process technologies that make modern life possible.
