Technical Director *need to be able to be available for all shifts Salary: 90-105k Location: NYC (eastside, midtown) Must have:Ross carbonite switch and tricasterPeople who have done manual switching versus automationBroadcastcable news experience - live TVNeed people who can build boxes, well versed in switchesDetails:Directing and switching the show, so they have inputs coming in on the camera, video play back, various things coming into switcher and they are putting it in the airDirecting 5 crew membersHours: vary, on the air from 630-11PM Mon-Fri, 7-7 Sat, 7-2 Sun. 5 of the 7. 9 hour shift with unpaid meal breakCalling the shots and switching the shotsSoft skills: someone who can work well under pressure, multi-task (lots thrown at you, calm under pressure in the control room), command the control room, get along well with producers, positive attitude General Description: The Technical Director plays a crucial role in the production of live television news broadcasts, ensuring seamless technical operations and high-quality output. This position requires a skilled individual with a strong understanding of broadcast technology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Core Duties and Responsibilities: Operate the Video Switcher for live and pre-taped programmingDirect and Technical Direct on Newtek TriCasterOperate graphics, playout, and switcher simultaneouslyCommunicate with producers, studio and control room crew, and talent to execute live and pre-taped programming Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree preferredThree (3) or more years of technical directing experience in a manual broadcast environmentThree (3) or more years of successful experience in directing live television news, studio-based programming, or similarly related professional media production and media presentation experienceExperience using ENPS or similar news production systemsExperience using Newtek TriCasterKnowledge of current broadcast technologies appropriate to the position's job responsibilitiesFlexibility in scheduling; evenings and weekends is requiredAvailability to work holidays Dexian is a leading provider of staffing, IT, and workforce solutions with over 12,000 employees and 70 locations worldwide.
