To learn more, please visit: Control Business Management, a subsidiary of NFP, is seeking a Tax Manager.The Tax Manager is responsible for handling the tax needs of clients regarding personal and business tax matters. Includes tax return preparation and review, year-end tax projection planning, estimates, and tax research. Tax Manager works closely with all levels of the tax department.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare and review complex Individual (resident and non-resident), C and S Corporation, Partnership, Fiduciary, Gift, Single Member LLC, Foreign Bank Account Report, Exempt Organization and Private Foundation tax returnsReview Business License, Property Tax, and Sales & Use tax returnsPrepare and review tax adjusting journal entries for business management clients' books and recordsPrepare and review quarterly tax estimates and year-end individual projections and business closeoutsPrepare and review tax basis schedulesRespond to IRS and state taxing authority notices and auditsPoint of contact with various non-business management tax clients and business management affiliatesPrepare and review Forms W-2, 1099, and 1042 as necessaryTax researchDevelop procedures, processes, and templates to establish best practicesKnowledge, Education, Skills, andor Abilities:Education - Bachelor's DegreeCPA license5-10 years tax experienceAccounting proficiencyProficiency with Tax Preparation and Projection Software, (Prosystem FX & BNA preferred)Proficiency with Excel and WordExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPersonable, positive and enthusiastic attitudeProficient in overseeing multiple projects and meeting strict deadlinesAbility to work with a variety of personalitiesTaking initiativeProblem-solving abilityCertificates, Licenses, Registration:Certified Public AccountantPhysical Demand: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.NFP and You...
