Under the direction of the Vice President of Finance, the Accounting Manager facilitates the Osborne Association's accounting and administrative functions. This role holds the critical responsibilities of supervising the operations of general accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable and provides support for the agency's financial administration. Salary: $100,000 - $110,000 annually RequirementsEssential Duties:Directs the general accounting functions and the supervision of the general ledger, including the balance sheet and income statements accounts, and supervises the accounting staff in this work. Holds responsibility for the monthly financial close of the general ledger. Supports the Vice President of Finance in formulating, recommending, and implementing sound fiscal and administrative policies, procedures, and controls.Provides schedules and documentation for the annual audit to the external auditors.Provides schedules and documentation to the tax accountants preparing annual tax filings.Assists the VP of Finance in overseeing the organization's accounts receivable functions, including notifying the VP of Finance and Chief Financial Officer when collections are delayed. Supports the VP of Finance in overseeing the functions of accounts payable and ensuring invoices are sent for payment in a timely and accurate manner. Provides the Vice President of Finance with regular and accurate internal financial statements that analyze and appraise the agency's financial performance.Maintains a system for managing fixed assets and equipment and makes recommendations for improvement as appropriate. Provides orientation and training on relevant financial systems for staff at all person attendance is required to collaborate with others.Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested.Minimum Qualifications:5+ years of experience in budgetingA bachelor's in a relevant financial field is required, a degree in accounting is preferred Excellent spreadsheet, database, and technology skills; Google Sheets preferredAbility to adapt to new technological toolsDemonstrated experience with nonprofit financial budgetingExperience with Financial Edge NXT is a plusA proven ability to identify and drive impactful financial outcomes and manage complex projects across multiple teamsA proven ability to manage and organize complex financial ledgers A proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and to build strong working relationshipsKey Competencies:Strong organizational analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate large amounts of data while succinctly summarizing conclusions to leadership and key stakeholdersAbility to work effectively under tight deadlines, strong attention to detail, and time management skillsAbility to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functionsAbility to take the initiative and drive for resultsAbility to communicate with all levels of the organization and build strong relationshipsBenefits of Working at OsborneGenerous benefits include four weeks of vacation, tuition reimbursement, a flexible work schedule, excellent Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, and a 403(b) plan with a company match.
